“Historic preservation is a vital part of maintaining our vibrant City. The City of Frederick is seeking individuals interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC).
The HPC is charged with prescribing appropriate rules and regulations for the transaction of its business; applying preservation guidelines and applicable Frederick City Code provisions that are consistent with those generally recognized by the Maryland Historical Trust during the consideration of: construction, alteration, reconstruction, moving or demolition of designated landmarks, sites, structures, and districts; and using existing criteria to make recommendations of sites, structures, and districts within the City of Frederick regarding their designation.
