Below is an invitation from Preservation Maryland to participate in a legislative briefing.
Please attend!
MAHDC is a member of the Maryland Heritage Council, a coalition of statewide heritage interests and organizations, which has developed a preservation agenda to guide legislative and budget advocacy efforts in Annapolis during the upcoming session.
MAHDC’s members represent preservation interests throughout the entire state, and we have an important role in advocating for responsible preservation in Maryland. Your input is essential.

Preservation Maryland is hitting the road!
We need preserved buildings & landscapes, sustainable communities, walkable towns, and we need them now! With the Maryland General Assembly headed back to session in early January, now is the time to talk about how we can accomplish this and make preservation a priority.
So, we’re coming to several cities across Maryland to prepare and we really hope to see you there.
With so many new faces in Annapolis, we need your help more than ever before. The good news is you can really make a difference. When you attend a meeting you can expect to:
- Learn about the preservation programs that make a difference – why they are needed and what they have accomplished,
- Find out how to make the case for preservation and more opportunities to get involved,
- And receive training and an advocacy toolkit to help make you an effective preservation advocate.
- Learn about our new campaign, “I’m With Barbara” an advocacy effort to direct attention to preservation! imwithbarbara.org
