“The Hyattsville community will likely have a new library in a few years, situated atop a parking garage, with its iconic flying saucer towering over an adjoining garden.

Calverton-based Grimm + Parker, the architectural firm hired by Prince George’s County to build the new library, is moving forward with Option C, a proposal that takes advantage of the sloping landscape and preserves the library’s concrete and steel flying saucer, company president Melanie Hennigan said during a community meeting at the library Tuesday night.”
