Earlier this year, the MAHDC Board of Directors voted to create a new position within the Board of Directors: a graduate student board member with a one-year term and full voting privileges. Anne Ketz was nominated, and she joined the Board in October 2013. Anne is serving as MAHDC’s ambassador to Maryland historic preservation students and university staff, educating them about our important mission and encouraging other students to be involved in MAHDC and their local communities’ historic district commissions.
Anne is a graduate student in the Masters of Historic Preservation program at the University of Maryland College Park with an anticipated graduation of May 2014. Anne brings to the board her recent internship experiences with Anacostia Trails Heritage Area and the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, as well as several years’ previous experience in business and program administration. She has a BA from the University of Minnesota and is also currently serving as a student member for the Old Town College Park Historic District Local Advisory Council.
Welcome, Anne!
